All of those things can be and have been done to humans as well, if by different methods.

That doesn't mean all of those things are good, naturally, whether done to humans or robots. But disassembling a human in order to put them back together more healthily - that's nothing but surgery. And reprogramming, when someone has a problem with their mind that hurts them or others around them, why, that's psychiatry.
