Not quite the meme we normally do, but I've seen it floating around and it looked like fun, so, why not?

Here we go, VDR, Cupcake Meme!

Would you look at that? The DR's set out a bunch of cupcakes for everybody to enjoy! It looks like there's a bunch of flavors to choose from, so why not have a bite?

• In your next comment, RNG ( min 1 max 8 ) for the cupcake that your character receives. Your thread partner will do the same with their next comment.
• Once the character takes a bite, the effects are immediate. HAVE AN ADVENTURE.
• If you feel like having another, the previous effects will still be there along with whatever new effect you've been given.
• None of this carries over into DR play, of course. Unless you want it to.

[hesitatingly reaches out with a tiny hand and puts it on his shoulder, being very careful to not touch bare skin and to keep it really really light-- she's ready to jump back if needed, though]

Other than the crying, how do you feel? Should we get back to the hotel?

[Shakes his head again, but doesn't brush her hand away.]

[on the one hand... this... almost seems like progress. on the other? he's still crying. even if it's because of a fucking cupcake, this is not something she wants to see.


So, Meiko just stands there, feeling and looking tiny and helpless]

[He's starting to get it under control. He's still crying, but he's not hiccuping or sobbing like an idiot anymore.

He unconsciously leans into her hand for support.] How long do these... effects last?

[Meiko relaxes just a little at that, hopefully this passes soon]

I'm not sure. Maybe until they get out of our system?

Shit! Wish I knew more! This fucking place, sometimes I swear...

[he's-- leaning against her? Meiko smiles gently, a strangely old look on such a young face, and stays as is.

what an... oddly reassuring... thing to come out of such an upsetting situation]

[He just nods and wipes his eyes with a sleeve.] ...we'll see, then.

[On one hand, part of him is applauding whoever baked these things. There was an unfortunate lack of ice-cream, but the effects were absolutely astounding to observe. He literally couldn't control his tears. On the other hand, this was Very Annoying and he did not like to be toyed like this. He hated it.]

The other cupcakes-- likely have effects-- as well.

[looks over at them]

...Could it have something to do with the frosting, you think? We did have different colored ones.

[subjecting]

[That's a good hypothesis. The frosting could've been the cause of it. Sudden curiosity strikes him and, tearfully, he starts to consider testing to see if that's true.]

It can be tested.

[portalholic]

I'm... not really comfortable with the idea of 'testing' it on random people, Kaito...

[subjecting]

[Sniffle.] 'Random people' will be testing it nonetheless.

[portalholic]

[the crying is still hard to hear]

...Unless we dump 'em somewhere.

[subjecting]

[for some reason that suggestion starts the tears again.]

That would be a waste.
