Not quite the meme we normally do, but I've seen it floating around and it looked like fun, so, why not?

Here we go, VDR, Cupcake Meme!

Would you look at that? The DR's set out a bunch of cupcakes for everybody to enjoy! It looks like there's a bunch of flavors to choose from, so why not have a bite?

[Guh. There is a very small moment when he freezes, as if ready to bolt. Once he's caught, he stays still and endures the smothering. It feels strange to be, well, cuddled like this. He's not exactly the cuddling type. Anyone in their right mind wouldn't want to, anyway.]

Do you treat your 'son' the same way?

I did when he was this small! [though not nearly as compulsively] He's really very affectionate, when he allows himself to be.

Now, that's not so! You aren't fake, at all! Just because you're artificially made, that doesn't make you fake!

Your logic is flawed.

You exist, don't you? And you're a person with thoughts, feelings, likes, dislikes... You're not fake at all!

[kicks the ground, trying to think of a counter to that.]

I can be sold. [kick.] I can be disassembled, replaced, and reformatted. [kick, kick.] I can be reprogrammed.

All of those things can be and have been done to humans as well, if by different methods.

That doesn't mean all of those things are good, naturally, whether done to humans or robots. But disassembling a human in order to put them back together more healthily - that's nothing but surgery. And reprogramming, when someone has a problem with their mind that hurts them or others around them, why, that's psychiatry.
