Not quite the meme we normally do, but I've seen it floating around and it looked like fun, so, why not?

Here we go, VDR, Cupcake Meme!

Would you look at that? The DR's set out a bunch of cupcakes for everybody to enjoy! It looks like there's a bunch of flavors to choose from, so why not have a bite?

...oh. You're right, that would be a lot better. ...Somebody would still need to go talk to the people who made you, though. Otherwise, they might just try to replace all of you instead of seeing what they did wrong and stopping.

The logistics of us escaping and getting to another country alone would be a mess. Given how recognizable we are in certain areas, and the fact our money is only accessible through a company-owned account...

Mm, I met him too. He's the other reason I want to go scare those people.

Anyway, I don't think this place is another country or anything like that. You didn't have to travel anywhere to get here, right? So, so first we just have to figure out how to go there and come back here, and then you tell your family to take as much money as they can and bring it all here with them. If anyone tries to come after you then, Miku and I and the other two police officers can put them all in jail because they would be kidnapping.

I'm thinking of that damn Portal gun thing. It sounds like at least half us from our world came in that way, so it has a high chance of working again. I've already talked to Miku about it...

The chief of police! She's, um... I guess you would say she's my boss? If you've seen a Miku wearing a sword, that was probably her.

I am now! I thought I was only a volunteer, but she gave me a uniform a week or so ago.

Yeah. She speaks differently from most of the other Mikus I've met, too. It's kind of like how I speak when I'm trying to be formal.

Congrats, then! And heh, a uniform? I've gotta see that.

...Really? I guess I understand. I talked differently when speaking to interviewers and similar people. Not too much of a reason to be on my best behavior here, though.

...Oh. I always speak that way, except around a few of the people I really, really like. And Father. I learned how from Sensei, only he taught me some of it and the rest I just sort of picked up by copying him.

Well, that's a good thing! Talking like I do sometimes can be a pretty bad idea. I personally don't give a shit about it, but I can't really encourage others to do the same...

...I can't really imagine you not talking like that, though. Mother—I mean, Dr. Sakine—speaks the same way. ...And sometimes being formal makes it hard to pick the right words, or say what you really mean.

Balance, or being good enough at switching back and forth. That way you don't do one when you meant to do the other.

Mm. I've only ever gotten mixed up like that when I'm really upset, though, and that only happens around people I wouldn't always speak formally with anyway.

Well, I'm sure it'll get better with time! Most of us robots are pretty young, despite our appearances and personalities, after all.

Well, their competency in programming in everything you need to know to be like a 'normal' human teenager or young adult aside... as they are fucking idiots...

It depends on your definition of 'child', I think? I mean, we are all at different maturity levels, and frankly, it's Luka who acts the most mature... and she's technically the youngest...

Oh man, it was great! Like, I look older than Kaito, Kaito older than Miku, and Miku older than Len and Rin, right? So we hear they are making a new Vocaloid, so the assumption is she'll be even younger, right?
