State of the DR

Hey guys.

So I'm working on catching up, and of course specifically with this post. As of right this moment, my answer is... um, completely non-committal. While I recognize that the majority of members are up for hopping over to Dreamwidth, I'd like to take a while to let the dust settle as everyone else slams the import - and consequently the DW servers - into the ground. Not to mention that even if I wanted to immediately leap the DR over there I couldn't, because somehow our community has waaaay over one hundred thousand comments.

(Which is, uh, a surprise, to say the least!)

Anyway, in the meantime please, please if you've got any further thoughts comment to that post or to this one, since I'm still watching it on a regular basis and popping in to mention things. If nothing else I would like to see if we can have two versions of the DR going, one on each site. While it's fair to guess that one would end up being more popular than the other, it'll at least allow those who are non-committal or not worried where they play to be able to play at either, and won't leave any members suddenly out in the cold or forgotten. Thoughts? Is this too waffly?

Finally, a happy new year to you all. Rest assured that whatever happens you are all pretty badass.

Pretty much what I was thinking when the whole two-DRs idea was first proposed. I'll probably be watching both locales if we end up with two (once I get my own DW stuff squared away).


Happy New Year right back to ya, Stel. =3 And pfft, badass -- sure. My muses have plenty of potential in that department (and I'd heart some in-story opportunities to explore it slash show it off), but I'm personally about as badass as a garden slug. A dead one. XD

I'm not really surprised that we have that many comments with how fast action tags can go at times. |D;; I'll be one to try RPing both as long as people are active. I haven't made any Vocaloid DW journals yet, but I have a bunch of unused invite codes for when the no-code period ends. (I'll also be happy to share if anyone needs one.)

Also, to anyone wondering where I went. I've been sick with a nasty head cold. Thinking and writing as myself is hard much less trying to write as someone else. If I'm like this for a day longer, I'm officially going on hiatus for all RP. orz

Waiting for final decision, but definitely I agreed to go DW. Two comm better than one. Also, I planned to make paid there.

With the one hundred thousand comment restriction having been lifted, and community import proving pretty robust, setting up a Dreamwidth VDR looks to be feasible sooner rather than later. :3

Just a heads up, my home game is moving to dreamwidth and I plan on joining a few other games over there too. So I am not sure how likely I am to stick around the DR if we don't move.
