A revenge mission, I suppose. Fourteen heroes set out to defend the kingdom; three died, and seven forfeit the mission out of cowardice. The four that persevered were killed by the seven who stayed behind, and those seven went on to claim the glory of having saved the kingdom — calling the four true heroes traitors and sullying their names.

[more ramen yo] Except, naturally, one of the four heroes, Ascheriit, survives, and sets off on a mission to kill those who have gained prosperity through deception, despite the great status they have in the kingdom as the "great seven heroes."

It's very engaging, though it has a tad bit too much fanservice for my taste. [tucks some of her hair behind her ear] On the other hand, Ascheriit is pretty.

This was my last pack of ramen.

There's nothing left to eat in the house.

[subjecting]

[He quirks an eyebrow at her.]

Go out for more food, presumably.

Or starve to death. Your choice.

But the only good part about going outside is coming back in.

Then you prefer to starve? I didn't realize you were that type of human.

[He pauses, considering.]

I could be persuaded to get you food, but only if I gain something in return.

[He tilts his head, feigning deep thought, before pointing to her laptop.]

I would like to observe this series too.

Before you misunderstand me, I will clarify: I am, by no means, interested in it. However, it will do for a fair trade.

[super happy, just like a kid] Is that all you want? And here I was anticipating something dreadful.

Very well then, it's a fair trade. It's a bit slow in the beginning, but it'll be nice to watch it with someone.

I don't recommend tempting me to change my mind. [Even if something dreadful sounds awfully nice right now.]

I will settle for this. What are your preferences for food?

Barbecue chips.

[hasn't entirely lost her wits, however, and:] Nutritional value isn't really a concern, but some fruit and vegetables would be nice. I prefer poultry to other meats.

[He waves offhandedly in response as he heads out to do some shopping. They are suddenly in a very strange Domestic Meme. He's actually pretty good at picking up the right types of food, mostly because it's methodological in a way. Not unlike picking supplies for experiments.

Once he's finished, he returns with bags of food. Lots of food. And he's automatically going into her kitchen to put it all away. Not because he wants to help her or anything. It'd just be a waste to leave perishables out in the open. He is a good waifu.]
