MOD STUFF

Hi!

I've recently had a couple of people come to me with issues involving other members of the community, and there was brief confusion over how to reach your modteam! The easiest way to get in contact with us is over to the left on the sidebar, where if you click the 'Comments and Criticisms' link you'll get taken to an anon, ip-less, screened post that we actively have on alert. Alternatively, you can contact me on any of the contact methods in my contact post entry.

I would also like to take a moment to remind everyone that the VDR is a public place, and that because of that there may be people in it you don't like and you don't want to play with. That's fine, and that's entirely your prerogative to not tag someone or to ignore their tags - at no point should you feel pressured to play with anyone you don't want to play with.

On the other hand, please respect other people's decisions about who they may or may not wish to play with. I've had a very confused new player have to ask me what's going on because they were variously and actively warned away from playing with someone, and that is absolutely not something I want to have happen in my comm. Edit: I realise that in at least one case, it was done with the best of intentions - even then, it was kind of out of the blue for them and certainly didn't help their confusion. End of Edit. It's dangerously insular as it is, but when it runs the risk of driving new players away it becomes absolutely unacceptable. If you have concerns with someone, please talk to us, and we'll do our best to iron the problem out. By the same token, if you hear of anything like this happening, please let us know so we can get to the problem and help sort it out in turn.

... gosh there are a lot of introductions on this page of the OOC comm um hello! I am Stelas, your friendly mod and usually a very lovely person I swear. I haven't been seen IC in many an age but I play a moe Kaito and a moe-r Black Rock Shooter when I am.

Edit 2: uhhhh. also Opal is a mod as well, I promise she's not just trying to hijack my post. Did we seriously not tell anyone, good lord. Avie and Amy earned mad props for helping out with layout and tag stuff and so we modded them on the main comm for being Super Scout Helpers, but they don't have access to vdrmods! Seconding all of this! I'm also available for mod contact if needed through any of the methods here, as well as PMing this or Kaito's journal. Stel is over in an odd timezone so if there's something that needs addressing ASAP and he doesn't seem to be around, please don't hesitate to poke me as well!

As far as I know, Stel and I are the only ones with modly mod power, but Avie and Amy have mod access to the comms because they were helping with layouts and tagging :|a YOU GUYS PLEASE CORRECT ME IF YOU SEE THIS AND I'M WRONG 8D;;;

Yeah, that was the deal! I mean, they offered me a way to be lazy, so I kind of had to take it. They don't have access to vdrmods screened posts.

You are correct in that. I am not a mod. I just worked on the layout and tags during the move from LJ to DW and forgot to remove this journal from mod status. I was originally going to wait for a bit to make sure there were no problems with the layout and then forgot to remove myself after time had past. Whoops.

I will remove myself now to avoid future confusion. Sorry about that!
