There was a day of serene peace where not a thing blew up nor caught on fire. The bus remained whole, and no giant creature roamed the streets, looking for love. The day consisted of studies and work and bills to pay. Neru of contrary humor walked down the streets, electric device in hand, looking for the ever elusive signal.

A faint one was found, and she gave chase to the strongest point. There she finally happened upon the door that would send her home. Neru opened the door and stepped through.

However, in her absence, a great many had changed. Up became down. The sky was washed with a brilliant green. Cars flew out of rings of gold. News of the child president with pigtails and a love of apples filled the news.

Had she really returned home, or had she left it?
